The portal where schools and teachers can access and download the Mathspeak teaching materials is now live.
Mathspeak is a free foreign language learning resource for secondary schools. The ten units in the course enable students to perform mathematics in a foreign language at the same level they do in their native language.

We’ve uploaded the English versions of first five Mathspeak learning modules onto the site, so we can test the servers that will be hosting the materials.

All the materials will be available for schools to download free of charge. You will also be able to adapt the teaching materials to additional languages.

We are very excited to let you know that we are having our second international Mathspeak project meeting on the 3rd of October 2019 in Italia!
One of our Mathspeak project partners, the Instituto Superiore E.Mattei, Fiorenzuola D’Arda in Italy, is kindly hosting this second meeting, where partners in the project will come together to discuss progress, improvement ideas and evaluate the output of the project so far.
Representatives from all of the Mathspeak project partners will be there: Insituto Superiore E.Mattei (Italy), Idris Education Ltd (UK), The Aritstoelio school (Greece), Viva Femina (Poland), Nedka Ivan Lazarova School (Bulgaria), Danmar Computers sp.z o.o (Poland) IOAN C.STEFANESCU School (Romania) and Cherryleaf Ltd (UK).
We are looking forward to a collaborative, informative and constructive exchange of ideas and updates; as well as meeting project participants face-to-face in the lovely city of Fiorenzuola D’Arda.
The Mathspeak project was included in Colegiul tehnic Ioan C. Stefanescu’s exhibition at “Educational Opportunities Week 2018-2019”. The Educational Opportunities event was held on 18 April at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Iasi, Romania.
The event provides background information, educational opportunities, analysis of opportunities, and career planning, so that young people’s aspirations can become reality.
More than 550 students and teachers attended the event, as well as the Iasi School Inspectorate.
